Robotised surgery

The Da Vinci robot: Cutting-edge surgical technology.

The Clinique des Grangettes owns a Da Vinci surgical robot since 2008. This tool represents a major technological advance. It allows many operations to be performed in a minimally invasive manner. The robot is far more precise, and thanks to its simulator, the surgeon will be better prepared for the various procedures.  Robotic surgery is related to laparoscopy: it provides the surgeon with a three-dimensional image while operating and therefore improves the surgeon's skills. This kind of surgery helps reduce post-operative trauma and enables the patient to recover faster and with less discomfort.

The Da Vinci surgical robot is used at the Clinique des Grangettes by surgeons in the fields of gynaecology, urology and digestive medicine (notably to treat obesity).
