All clinics and the Corporate Office have based their sustainable quality management on the certification of their processes in accordance with the ISO standard 9001: 2008 (Revision 2015) (SQS). Compliance to the standards is verified annually through external audits at all of the group’s clinics. Proof of Hirslanden’s consistent quality management is the certification of all clinics and the Corporate Office in accordance with the ISO standard 9001:2008.
Preparation for this certification takes around 15 months. All business processes have to be documented and correlated. The result is a process-oriented image of the clinic. No less important than the sole description is the establishment and documentation of a continuous improvement process. In this regard, the ISO standard 9001:2008 is oriented to the so-called PDCA (plan–do–check–act). The planning of a process is followed by its implementation. The result is then analysed and the process is corrected or adjusted, as applicable.
Certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 is verified annually by an external audit. Together, the external and internal audits provide important reference points for optimisation potentials, the exploitation of which is a component of the continuous improvement process. In this regard, all clinics base themselves on a uniform process management system (IMS). This Software offers unrestricted insight into the processes of all clinics and therefore support “learning from the best” across all clinics.
