Puerperal and postpartum exercises

The pelvic floor and abdominal muscles are strained through pregnancy and birth. To prevent complications such as urinary incontinence or prolapse of the uterus, bladder or rectum, there are specific puerperal exercises to tone and tighten the muscles and ligaments of the abdominal region.

Many clinics offer specific postpartum exercises that you can take regularly some weeks after giving birth. You will learn exercises that will give your body back its strength and tautness without straining it too much. We recommend you continue these exercises at home.
