Even though it has become rather cramped, you can still clearly feel the movements of the baby; but they are now slow and leisurely, as if the foetus is stretching. This can often be seen from the outside when your clothes suddenly bulge out.
Ninety percent of all children now lie with the head downward. Fingernails have grown and cover the whole nail bed. The hair on the head is quite thick; with some children a shock of hair can be seen in an ultra sound image. Most children now gain between 150 and 200 g per week.
