Athletissima and Hirslanden’s Clinique Bois-Cerf and Clinique Cecil will be partners for the Athletissima meeting. This collaboration marks a strategic alliance between two entities committed to promoting excellence, health and well-being in the sporting community and beyond.

For more than 50 years, Athletissima has been the place to be for the world’s greatest track and field athletes. Legends like Usain Bolt or Carl Lewis have attended, attracting more than 12 500 people from all over Switzerland to the La Pontaise Stadium in Lausanne.

Broadcast in 169 countries and part of the Diamond League, the event gains an almost 20% share of the audiovisual market during the meeting, offering unrivalled worldwide exposure for the sport of athletics.

The Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf and Clinique Cecil offer a high level of medical expertise in the heart of Lausanne. The Clinique Bois-Cerf has a multi-disciplinary sports and health centre, the Actif+ Centre. The idea of a partnership between the two entities came naturally.

Dr Stéphane Borloz, a doctor specialising in physical medicine and rehabilitation, will play a key role as coordinator of the physiotherapists, providing medical supervision for the athletes during their stay in Lausanne with one of his colleagues. Dr Borloz's involvement exemplifies the clinics' commitment to excellence and the well-being of athletes.

Inka Moritz, Director of the Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf and Clinique Cecil, comments: ‘This partnership represents an important step in our commitment to high-level sport and health. We want to support both top-level athletes and amateurs. It completes the partnership with the Hirslanden Group, which already supports the sprinters and sisters Mujinga Kambundji and Ditaji Kambundji on their medical journey. We are delighted to collaborate with an organisation with a great reputation and to contribute to its continued success.

Jacky Delapierre, CEO of Athletissima, adds: ‘We are very happy to partner with the Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf and Clinique Cecil. As a prestigious group with cutting-edge medical expertise, Hirslanden brings a high level of assurance to our partnership. Their expertise in the field of sports, particularly at the Clinique Bois-Cerf with its orthopaedic emergency department, Actif+ Centre and surgeons specialising in orthopaedics and traumatology, gives us absolute confidence in their ability to provide athletes with the best possible support. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter in the history of Athletissima.’

Together, Athletissima and Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf and Clinique Cecil aim to continue pushing the boundaries and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
