We want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our varied menus should contribute to this. They are freshly prepared on a daily basis and are seasonally adjusted. On request or if prescribed by a doctor, our patients receive light meals, full meals or vegetarian meals. We also offer a wide range of à la carte food in addition to our daily meals.

The hotel service staff will be glad to advise you on your choice of meal. They will take your order on a daily basis for the following day. Our nutritional counsellors are at your disposal to answer any nutritional questions.

Lounge closed

The Salem-Spital lounge will remain closed until further notice.

We are glad to serve you and your visitors in our lounge, which has a fantastic view of Bern's Old Town and the surrounding Alps. The offer includes drinks, small snacks, newspapers and magazines. The lounge is located on entrance floor A3.

Snack machine

Outside the opening hours of the lounge, a snack machine with a selection of drinks and snacks is available in the entrance area.

Garden area

The beautiful Salem garden is an inviting place where patients and visitors can relax. Enjoy a walk in the fresh air or make yourself comfortable at one of our garden tables.

Cook & chill system

We prepare our food in accordance with the latest nutritional criteria and use the cook & chill system as part of the process. The procedure is called "Cook & Chill": After it has been produced, the food is cooled from 90°C to 5°C within 20 minutes. This method allows us to maintain the high quality of the food.
