    Klinik Beau-Site is the only hospital besides Inselspital to be awarded a performance mandate for major, rare abdominal surgery procedures by GDK

    Construction of a third fully digitised heart catheter laboratory (HCL) specialising in the treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias

    Extension of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Hospital and Intermediate Care/Recovery Ward (IMC)

    Opening of the modern medical centre and ward block (Haus von Rodt), September

    Start of construction of a new medical centre and ward block on the hospital site. End of construction: Summer 2011.

    Restructuring of 24h Cardiac Emergency. Cooperation with the Emergency Department at Salem-Spital.

    Completion of the 27-million conversion with additionally created 2nd and 3rd basement.

    Beau-Site, built around 1911 as a hotel, is bought by Dr. Werner Raaflaub and two other doctors and converted into a hospital.
