AndreasKlinik in Cham has refocused its services on orthopedics as well as neurosurgery and spinal surgery and is establishing itself as a supra-regional center of excellence. In addition, comprehensive medical care remains available, including gynecology with breast cancer care, urology, and general surgery.

The Swiss hospital system is facing major challenges that require a rethink and closer collaboration between hospitals. In close cooperation with Hirslanden Clinic St. Anna in Lucerne, Hirslanden AndreasKlinik will in future focus on the musculoskeletal system, with an emphasis on orthopedics as well as neurosurgery and spinal surgery.

At the same time, in collaboration with Zug Cantonal Hospital, AndreasKlinik will remain an important provider of regional, integrated healthcare, offering a broad range of medical services.

Summary of AndreasKlinik’s Service Portfolio as of July 2025:

  • Focus on the musculoskeletal system: AndreasKlinik is further strengthening its specialization in the musculoskeletal system, with a focus on orthopedics as well as neurosurgery and spinal surgery. In cooperation with Hirslanden Clinic St. Anna in Lucerne, the clinic will develop into a supra-regional center of excellence in these fields.
  • Continued broad range of services: The clinic will continue to provide comprehensive regional healthcare services, including gynecology with breast cancer care, urology, and general surgery.
  • Withdrawal from obstetrics: Due to declining birth rates in the Canton of Zug, AndreasKlinik will discontinue obstetric services as of the end of June 2025..
  • Optimized emergency care: From July 2025, the clinic will operate an emergency department open during daytime and evening hours, seven days a week.
