The Unit of General Internal Medicine cares for the inpatients at Klinik Hirslanden. Our expertise focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with symptoms of unclear origin or conditions affecting more than one organ system.
Patients referred directly by their General Practitioners or transferred from the Accident and Emergency Centre are guided through a co-ordinated diagnostic and treatment programme in co-operation with the hospital specialists.
If required, the unit also cares for surgical patients with serious secondary internal disorders and works closely with the attending clinicians to guarantee comprehensive, competent treatment. Preoperative diagnostics are also provided on request.
The unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care for the well-being of its patients in collaboration with referring doctors and affiliated physicians. Thus Klinik Hirslanden has taken a further step towards becoming a leading provider of integrated medical services.
