We provide comprehensive inpatient internal medicine services for patients with basic and supplementary health insurance. As a public hospital, AndreasKlinik welcomes patients regardless of their insurance status.
Our department offers expert assessment and treatment across the full spectrum of adult internal medicine. We have particular expertise in the management of complex diagnostic problems, multimorbidity, infectious diseases, and perioperative medical co-management. Together with our Emergency Department, we ensure rapid assessment and timely admission for urgent medical conditions every day of the year.
We offer straightforward access to inpatient admission and specialist internal medicine consultation. Patients benefit from an on-site diagnostic infrastructure, including a modern clinical laboratory, advanced radiology with comprehensive imaging modalities, and a wide range of bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ultrasound-guided pleural and ascites drainage, lumbar puncture, and other image-guided interventions.
Through close collaboration with our colleagues in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, gynaecology, urology, oncology, intensive care, and other specialties, we provide coordinated, multidisciplinary care for patients with complex medical needs. When highly specialised expertise is required, we work seamlessly with our colleagues at Hirslanden Klinik St. Anna in Lucerne and across the Hirslanden network.
Clear communication with referring physicians is central to our practice. We aim to provide timely updates, comprehensive discharge reports, and ongoing collaboration to ensure continuity of care for your patients.
