BCM (Body Composition Monitor)

A BCM measurement to determine non-fat mass, fat mass and bodily fluid allows for the visualisation of any changes/improvements in body composition through changes in diet and exercise.

While lying down, two electrodes are placed on the back of the hand and on the back of the foot on the same side of the body. The water content in the two tissues (non-fat and fat mass) is determined by a low alternating current, thus providing information about the body composition. It is well known that weight is not always the right measure when weight loss is desired, especially when the patients/clients have begun muscle training.

We can settle invoices for BCM via basic health insurance on the basis of a medical prescription if you have one of the indications defined by santésuisse and FMH.
