The Hirslanden Group is expanding its commitment to Swiss elite sport and is now the official medical partner of ski racer and Olympic champion Corinne Suter. She is a member of the Swiss-Ski team, whose athletes have been receiving sports medicine care from Hirslanden since 2021.
The 2022 Olympic downhill champion, world champion and multiple World Cup winner wants to be back among the world’s top athletes next season. She’s relying on Hirslanden’s comprehensive sports medicine in training, competition preparation and recovery to help her get there. This involves everything from preventive diagnostics and physical performance analyses to comprehensive medical support to promote health and performance.
‘Our collaboration with Corinne Suter exemplifies our commitment to provide athletes – and all patients who place their trust in us – with personalised, holistic care based on the highest level of medical expertise,’ says Niowi Näf, Chief Strategy Officer of the Hirslanden Group.
With this personal partnership, Hirslanden is building on its long-standing collaboration with Corinne Suter, which began as part of its involvement with Swiss-Ski. Corinne Suter placed her trust in Hirslanden’s medical expertise last year after tearing her cruciate ligament: she had surgery at the Klinik Hirslanden in Zurich and underwent post-operative rehabilitation at Sports Medicine St. Anna im Bahnhof in Lucerne, among other places.
Corinne Suter says: ‘I’m delighted to deepen my partnership with Hirslanden. The intensive support and professional medical care and the established team spirit give me confidence and enable me to reach my full potential on the slopes.’
The Hirslanden Group counts sports medicine as one of its core areas and maintains partnerships with elite athletes and major sports clubs. In addition to supporting Swiss-Ski and an array of top teams in the world of football, ice hockey, volleyball and handball, Hirslanden is also the official medical partner of athletics world champions Mujinga and Ditaji Kambundji.
The Hirslanden Group offers targeted expertise in preventive healthcare in elite and popular sports to help people at all levels improve their fitness and health in line with their personal goals.
The Hirslanden Group has been an official medical partner of Swiss-Ski since 2021, providing sports medicine care for more than 300 athletes. Six Hirslanden locations serve as ‘sport hubs’ for the association. Some of these locations are certified as a ‘Swiss Olympic Medical Centre’ or ‘Sport Medical Base approved by Swiss Olympic’.
Hirslanden is committed to high-quality, responsible, efficient and integrated healthcare, determined by the individual patients themselves. From birth to older age, from prevention to cure – at any time, face-to-face and in digital form – the Hirslanden Group, together with private and public partners, concentrates on the further development of the ‘Continuum of Care’.
Hirslanden differentiates itself from the rest of the market as a service provider with first-class medical care aimed at improving the quality of life of each of its patients – guaranteed by highly qualified independent specialists with years of experience, excellent and attentive nursing care, and outstanding services to provide a high level of comfort in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Interdisciplinary medical centres of expertise, specialised institutes and professional partners provide optimal, personalised diagnosis and treatment of even highly complex cases, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.

It also runs 5 outpatient surgery units, 18 radiology departments and 6 radiotherapy institutes. The Group has more than 2 500 partner doctors and around 11 000 employees.
