As one of the largest employers in the Swiss healthcare system, Hirslanden is strongly committed to education, and employs 977 apprentices and students from 30 professions at Swiss Federal VET Diploma federal certificate of competence, university, university of applied sciences, and postgraduate level. 832 of these apprentices and students are from health professions. They include 145 assistant doctors who complete a part of their specialist medical training at a Hirslanden hospital.
