Spital Uster and Klinik Hirslanden have been working closely together in the care regions of Zurich Oberland and Oberes Glatttal since the end of 2022. The aim is to ensure a high quality of medical care close to home in every phase of patient care.
Spital Uster and Klinik Hirslanden work closely together in various medical specialties. Primary care for patients is provided at Spital Uster, while complex cases are treated at Klinik Hirslanden in Zurich. This is because increasing specialisation and the treatment of complex cases require interdisciplinary teams that are ready for action day and night, as well as the corresponding infrastructure. Furthermore, the number of cases is decisive for the quality of the interventions.
The cooperation partners are thus fulfilling their responsibility to provide consistently cost-effective care for patients of all insurance classes close to their place of residence, where it can be provided with the highest possible medical and nursing quality. This also takes into account the cantonal and inter-cantonal requirements for hospital planning.
