Rotator cuff tear? Back into shape without surgery

Julia Billeter had a severe fall at home. And suffered a rotator cuff rupture, i.e. a tear in the shoulder tendon, in the process. Individualised physiotherapy gave the agile pensioner back her old zest for life and mobility.

Tears in the shoulder tendon (rotator cuff ruptures) are particularly prevalent in elderly people. But neither the resulting pain nor the restriction in movement need to be accepted. In many cases, an individualised course of physiotherapy is sufficient to remedy the adverse effects. Julia Billeter also regained her usual range of movement. “The relief is enormous”, says the sprightly 75-year-old.
