Proper preparation ensures safety
As expectant parents, you will naturally be thinking a great deal about the upcoming birth. We are here to support you. At the heart of our philosophy is a holistic, personalised and family-focused approach to care before, during and after the birth.
Midwife consultation
To help you prepare for the birth, we invite women who are registered with us to a midwife consultation. This is an opportunity for you to discuss any questions you may have about the birth and the first few days after giving birth, as well as to share your wishes and concerns. The midwife consultation takes place around four weeks before your due date. Your needs are important to us and we will take your wishes into account.
Types of birth
We support natural childbirth. A woman’s right to choose is our top priority. A wide range of options are available to you: from water births to birthing stools, to name just two. In certain cases, however, a caesarean section is advisable: for example, if your doctor determines before the birth that a natural birth carries risks, whether for physical or personal reasons.
Medical infrastructure
Our modern medical facilities ensure the highest standard of medical care, as well as safety and comfort for both mother and baby. The warm colours and soft lighting in the delivery rooms help to promote a sense of well-being.
Our maternity ward has two delivery rooms equipped with bathtubs. An operating theatre for caesarean sections is integrated directly into the maternity ward, enabling us to respond very quickly in an emergency.
An experienced, well-established team
Get to know our multilingual team and our maternity ward well in advance: experienced midwives are on duty around the clock to look after your well-being.
Your consultant works closely with the midwives at the clinic and is available to you at any time.
The anaesthesia team is on duty around the clock and is available at any time to provide pain relief during a natural birth or in the event of a caesarean section.
An experienced neonatologist – a paediatrician – is always on call to care for your child and to deal with any emergencies. Thanks to regular emergency training and continuing professional development, our team is fully prepared for any complications that may arise for mother and child.
Childbirth preparation classes
Our popular antenatal classes are designed to help you and your partner prepare for the birth and to alleviate any uncertainties or fears you may have. We also offer other services such as antenatal exercise classes and personalised antenatal support. You can find detailed information about our wide range of pre- and postnatal classes on our website.
Acupuncture
In addition to conventional medicine, we offer alternative treatment methods. Many of our midwives have specialist training and experience in the use of acupuncture. The use of acupuncture to ease labour has a long history of success in China and complements traditional antenatal care.
Studies confirm the effect of acupuncture treatment on the duration of labour. The treatment promotes cervical ripening, thereby shortening the dilation phase. Acupuncture can also provide significant relief for symptoms such as nausea, heartburn, oedema, back pain or carpal tunnel syndrome. After the birth, acupuncture helps with breastfeeding problems such as blocked milk ducts, sore nipples and insufficient milk production.
In addition to acupuncture, we also offer other alternative treatment methods such as foot reflexology, aromatherapy and homeopathy.

Ayurvedic massages
Ayurveda means ‘the knowledge of life and the right way of living’. This Indian system of medicine has the following objectives: prevention, the maintenance of health, and the regeneration of the body.
The Ayurvedic massage for pregnant women promotes general well-being and creates inner harmony. It supports the bond between mother and child and fosters emotional attachment. It also has a relaxing and balancing effect. The Ayurvedic massage for the postnatal period also has a cleansing and detoxifying effect. It relieves tension and has a restorative effect on postnatal exhaustion. A wonderful opportunity to be pampered and to enjoy yourself. The massage promotes skin elasticity, improves posture and supports the legs, back and pelvis. The movements are gentle, soft and slow. They are performed using warm, fragrant oil.
You can find more information on our website.
Foot reflexology massage
Foot reflexology is based on the principle that certain zones on the foot correspond to specific areas of the body. The massage stimulates blood circulation in the feet and activates the reflex zones. It therefore has a regenerative and healing effect. Blockages can be released by applying pressure to the relevant reflex zone. Foot reflexology can be used both before birth (from the 16th week of pregnancy) and after birth. You can find more information on our website.
