The Hospital Internal Medicine Department takes care of medical pathologies requiring urgent or elective hospitalization.
Patients are admitted to our department through the Emergency Centre or another hospital. In some cases, they can be referred directly by their doctor. Internal medicine is a transversal specialty that allows a multidisciplinary and comprehensive management of adult pathologies, also in a post-operative context. This global approach allows a diagnosis and therapeutic follow-up according to the latest recommendations of good practice in order to offer patients an optimal management plan.
Our technical platform includes:
- Two internists on call 24/7
- a medical and interventional cardiology guard
- A continuing care service
- a radiology department
- a laboratory
In addition, access to all the specialties of the Hirslanden Geneva Campus (La Colline and Grangettes) is guaranteed. In case of need for a specialized exam available only on the Campus Colline, transport between the two structures is organized for a smooth care.
The team of hospital internists is available to city doctors on 022 305 03 44 to organize the care of their patients in close collaboration with them.
