Drinks

Can I drink anything other than water (coffee, tea, fruit juice, sparkling water, etc.)?

Sugary drinks are prohibited. It is recommended to drink plain water about 1 liter in the 2 hours before your appointment.

Activities during the break

During the break, can I read or listen to music?

You must rest strictly in a chair without speaking or moving for 45 minutes before your exam.

Accompaniment

Can I come accompanied?
The person who will accompany you will be able to wait until the end of your exams in the Tea room, the waiting room being reserved for patients.

Cases of claustrophobia

I am claustrophobic, how can I best prepare for my exam?
Your doctor may prescribe a medicine to relieve your anxiety (anxiolytic) to take on the day of the exam.
For the duration of the exam you are under direct visual control, as well as by camera and microphone. The technician will be able to show you the equipment before your exam.

Examinations for children

I have small children, what precautions should I take?
There is no specific recommendation.

Breastfeeding

I am currently breastfeeding my child, are there any special arrangements to make?
Specify this when making the appointment. You should suspend breastfeeding for a variable amount of time depending on the type of test and do not store milk.

Injected product

Is the product I am being injected dangerous?
A very small amount of radiation is received for the performance of the examination and poses no risk to your health compared to the expected benefit.
A CT scan with injection of iodinated contrast medium can be performed at the same time, please report any allergic episode prior to a contrast medium.

Driving after the exam

Can I drive after this exam?
Yes.

Medicaments

Can I take my medication?
Some medications must be suspended for the examination, this will be indicated to you by your doctor. If not, take all your usual treatments.

Jewelry and accessories

Do I have to remove my jewelry?
Yes.

Results of the review

When will I get my exam results?
The interpretation of the images and the comparison with previous examinations can be lengthy. The report will be sent to your doctor as soon as possible.
