The See-Spital foundation and the Hirslanden Group have now agreed to bundle their strengthen in order to jointly further develop the offer of high-quality local medical care for the inhabitants of the left bank of Lake Zurich on a long-term basis.

With this strategic cooperation See-Spital and Hirslanden are stepping up the level of their current collaboration while each retaining their legal status as an autonomous and independent entity.

Under the agreement, the Hirslanden Group and its affiliated doctors are establishing special consultations based at the sites of Horgen and Kilchberg that extend the existing range of medical care offered by See-Spital. In return, physicians at See-Spital are to be given the opportunity of performing specialist procedures at Klinik Im Park. Hirslanden also intends to invest in the offer or development of current services at the sites of Kilchberg and Horgen. Where this appears expedient, the partners plan to present themselves under a common brand.

The declared objective of this cooperation is to not only ensure first-class patient care in terms of staffing and infrastructure with top quality during every phase of treatment, but also to make use of synergies between the hospital sites. The partners are aiming to provide cost-effective, patient-oriented and competitive services at a superior level.

For Markus Bircher, CEO of See-Spital, cooperation with Hirslanden will ensure first-rate medical care for the people living on the left bank of Lake Zurich on a long-term basis: "This partnership will offer See-Spital access to Switzerland's largest medical network and guarantee our quality and performance capability for the benefit of our patients for years to come"

Dr. Stephan Pahls, COO East of the Hirslanden Group explains: "As neighbours Hirslanden Klinik Im Park and Spital Kilchberg have cooperated closely for many years, not least because our affiliated doctors work in both hospitals. We are pleased that intensifying the collaboration with See-Spital will allow us to bundle our skills to even better effect and to coordinate our processes even more profitably − in the interests of high quality and efficiency."
