Charl Goosen becomes Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group. He will take up the newly created position on 1 April 2019 and will be a member of the Executive Committee.

Charl Goosen has had many years of experience in leading and developing large ICT organizations, including risk management and process optimization. He has been Group General Manager SAP Architect at Mediclinic International plc since 2016, where he is currently responsible for SAP strategy and operational management of all SAP installations within the Group. Prior to this, the 48-year-old had worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 20 years in various management positions in the international IT environment. During this time, Charl Goosen was responsible for comprehensive process redesign projects in the areas of logistics, finance and management. He also has an extensive background of experience in leading and developing teams and organizations in change processes. Charl Goosen is married, the father of three children and comes from South Africa.

As the new CIO of Hirslanden, Charl Goosen will assume overall management and functional control of the ICT departments and will be a member of the Hirslanden Executive Committee.

Charl Goosen will take up his duties on 1 April 2019.

Hirslanden Private Hospital Group

The Hirslanden Private Hospital Group consists of 18 hospitals in 11 cantons, many of which have an outpatient surgery centre and emergency department.
