Gilles Rufenacht, currently Hospital Manager of Clinique des Grangettes and Clinique La Colline, has been elected as the new General Manager of Genève Aéroport by the Board of Directors. He will take up his new role in autumn 2024.

Under his leadership, the clinics des Grangettes and La Colline have positioned themselves as key players in the private healthcare sector in the region. They now occupy a leading position for numerous medical specialities and are characterised by both outstanding medical quality and high service quality. The largest centre for outpatient surgery in Switzerland is also currently being built in Geneva, which Hirslanden will operate in collaboration with Geneva University Hospitals from 2025.

Thanks to these developments, Hirslanden has succeeded in establishing a regional integrated care network in Geneva. This is in line with Hirslanden's corporate strategy to operate a comprehensive medical network in each care region together with partners with a clear focus on excellent integrated care, the so-called “Continuum of Care" in the areas of musculoskeletal, cardiac medicine and surgery, cancer and neuromedicine as well as obstetrics.

Daniel Liedkte, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hirslanden La Colline Grangettes SA says: "Gilles Rufenacht has anchored our two clinics in Geneva as first-class healthcare providers and has also established a comprehensive integrated care network. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Gilles very much for his extraordinary achievements and his great commitment."
