The Board of the Hospital Network of Canton St. Gallen has appointed Dr. Peter Werder as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Management of Spital Linth in Uznach. Dr. Werder served as Hospital Manager of Hirslanden Klinik Belair until 1 October 2019. He was Head of Corporate Communication of the Group from 2011 to 2016. He will work on the establishment of innovation management at the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group until he takes up his new appointment.

Peter Werder (45) will take on his new position on 1 February 2020 and will replace Dr. Urs Graf , who will retire on this date. Dr. Werder joined the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group in 2011 as Head of Corporate Communication. From 2016 to 2019, he was Hospital Manager at Hirslanden Klinik Belair in Schaffhausen. 

He did his Executive MBA in General Management at the University of St. Gallen from 2013 to 2014 and graduated with the master thesis “Centralisation and standardisation at hospitals”. 

During his time as Hospital Manager of Klinik Belair, Peter Werder realised many infrastructure projects and expanded the hospital's market area. He put the hospital’s shift to outpatient care into practice and implemented Group projects to bring Klinik Belair up to date in the areas of procurement, logistics, digitisation and standardisation.
