The Hirslanden Private Hospital Group will be dividing its hospitals into the regions “West” and “East” to better accommodate the Group’s continuing growth.

In the course of its strategic business development and sustained growth, the Hirslanden Private Hospital Group, which now has 18 hospitals in 11 cantons, has decided to restructure its regional organization. To better support the group as a whole, the hospitals will be split into two regions – “West” and “East”.

In the future, two regional operating officers (ROO) will be in charge of operational management of the regions. Stéphan Studer, Hospital Manager of Clinique La Colline, will be in charge of region West (eight hospitals); Dr. Stephan Pahls, who is currently Head of Business Development, will be in charge of region East (ten hospitals). The two ROOs will report directly to Chief Operating Officer of the Hirslanden Group, Dr. Daniel Liedtke.

The reorganization has obvious advantages: in the future, the two ROOs will focus entirely on development in the respective regions. They will regularly communicate with the directors to better support the hospitals.

Along with his new role, Stéphan Studer will retain his current position as Hospital Manager of Clinique La Colline until further notice. The search for a successor has already begun. The Business Development division, which is currently headed by Dr. Stephan Pahls, will be reorganized internally.

The organizational changes go into effect on 1 October 2018.

The diagram below illustrates the new structure of the 18 Hirslanden hospitals, divided up into the regions East and West and the respective healthcare region.
