Abdominal radiology involves taking images of the abdominal cavity. This includes examining the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and kidneys as well as the urinary tracts, prostate, uterus and ovaries.
All imaging methods are used, including classic X-ray examinations, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The findings are discussed with specialists from other disciplines in special reports.
